Lauren is the founder of Bottom Line Yoga with two locations in the Chicago Loop. Lauren began practicing yoga in her youth after a sports related injury. After college she was a ’09 Teach for America corp member, where she fell in love with teaching. Her newly discovered passion led her to her first yoga training in 2011 at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Over the years, Lauren has done several trainings throughout the U.S., India, and Costa Rica. Lauren started Bottom Line Yoga shortly after she began teaching, once she realized there was a niche market in the corporate wellness. Now, she manages a team for 20 plus instructors who offer yoga, meditation and mindfulness workshops for companies in the Chicagoland area. Lauren was featured in Splash magazine as Who to Watch, and since then BLY has taken off earning recognition as #3 on the list of Best Chicago Yoga Studios in 2016.
Her teaching style has been shaped by her various trainings, but mostly from her light-hearted humor, and her desire to help people discover their strength by pushing them to try new things. She loves to guide people into poses they never knew they could accomplish with a little encouragement and trickery. Heavily influenced by her athletic nature, she loves to challenge people to their edge only to discover their internal strength and perseverance.
